Westside Christian Academy is a state-licensed private preschool which offers premier early education and childcare services. It is our endeavor to teach basic Christian principles as we serve our children and families in the Cleveland community. A purposeful curriculum has been developed to optimize each child’s individual cognitive learning and growth. Focus is given to enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children in a loving, safe environment where they can be free to be their perfectly free expressive self’s.

Ms. Brittany Hicks, our qualified director, believes children are our future and envisions a loving, diverse community which are youth are valued and respected. She prides herself in hiring staff which complement her values and are willing to work in a collaborative support system of adults who are organized and trained to help children realize their potential.

WCA Director, Brittany Hicks

Brittany Hicks is our executive director at Westside Christian Academy. Brittany’s passion is to assist in developing children emotionally, intellectually, and socially so that they learn to respect others and thrive in a school setting. Responsive care for very young children sets the stage for learning. It teaches a child to trust, be curious, strive to learn new things, and be skillful in social interaction. All of these characteristics have been learned and practiced during Brittany’s early childhood education and over 17 years of experience in the childcare business. 

Brittany was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia but now resides in Soddy Daisy with her 2 beautiful children and husband of 7 years. Since Brittany began working with Westside in 2018, she has been a valuable asset to our management team and helped shaped WCA into a state-of-the-art facility. Brittany says, “Focusing on developing, improving and making a difference in children’s lives is what I am called to do and brings me the greatest joy!” Westside is my home and I cannot wait to make it your child’s home away from home.
